  • Notes
    • Louisa is the grand-daughter of Henry Graves, founder of H.Graves and Co. Carriers. She attended St James School and won a scholarship entitling her to secondary education but she had to stay home and help. She worked for a short while as a machinist in an exclusive knitted goods factory. But as eldest daughter in a family of eight she spent most of her time prior to marriage helping her mother with the younger children. She played the piano, She made all her own and her daughters clothes, and has been a prudent and particular housekeeper and devoted wife. She now resides at the Aberfoyle Park Aged Care Complex. As a small child she was called "Janey" and for most of her life was called "Louie" (The Tucker Family in Australia, 1992)
