      RECENT WEDDING
      At the Church of Christ, Grote Street on June 20th the marriage was celebrated of Alma M only daughter of Mrs I Furniss, with Reginald V. eldest son of Mr and Mrs H.G. Griffin of Geranium. Pastor A.E. Hurren officiated. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr A.C. Adcock, wore a gown of white camellia satin, Mrs Keith Peek (bride's cousin) was matron of honour being attended by Misses Gwen Griffin (sister of the bridegroom) and Roma Graham, both of whom wore frocks of pale pink net worn over pink taffeta. Mr Mervyn Furniss (bride's brother) was best man, About 50 guests were entertained at the Maple Leaf Cafe. The bride's going-away dress was an ensemble of dusty pink with brown accessories and fox furs. (The Tucker Family in Australia, 1992)
