- Glen was educated at Pinery Primary School and then worked on his father's farm at Pinery. Like his father, Glen became very interested in district and community functions. He held office in many organizations. He has been: Secretary and Chairman of the school committee, committee member, trustee and President of the hall, Secretary and Treasurer of the Fire Unit, and a member and trustee of the Local Church. He belonged to the Pinery Cricket Club and later the President of the Adelaide Plains and Lower Gilbert Association. He played in the Grace Plains Country Carnival Team. In Balaklava he served as a Counsellor for the High School and for many years was a Steward and President of the Agricultural Show Society. he also became an accredited Judge for Dairy Cattle and judged on many occasions. He was made an Honorary Life Member of the Society. He was a delegate to the State Conference from Owen L.C.L and served as president for some time. He was also a board member of the local Hospital at Mallala for several years. He was commission a Justice of the Peace in 1950 at the age of 27 and has been active in court work serving as a local Coroner still. He also acted as honorary auditor for severl bodies within the district. In retirement, Glen lived quietly in Mallala with his wife Joy. (The Tucker Family in Australia, 1992)
